In a world that moves fast and speaks loud,

we choose to create in stillness.

Every piece is a quiet offering — shaped by hand, guided by feeling,

and rich with the kind of imperfection only love can leave behind.

When the world shouts in logos and noise,

we return to what’s real: the touch, the time, the truth of what we carry.

It doesn’t need to announce itself.

True luxury moves quietly — in the way something fits just right,

in the weight of a piece made with time and care,

in the feeling that someone thought of you before you even asked.

At House of ABR, we don’t craft to impress.

We craft to mean something.

Because the pieces you hold close…

should feel like they’ve always belonged to you.

THE SIGNATURES

This rebrand isn’t a new beginning.

It’s a gentle return — to what feels honest, considered, and close to the heart.

At House of ABR, modern luxury is redefined not by excess,

but by restraint, intention, and soul.

Every piece carries quiet elegance,

not in perfection — but in the beauty of what’s real,

and the meaning we place in the smallest details.

THE FOUNDER

TELLING THE FULL STORY IS A JOURNEY

So here are 10 fun facts to give you a quick, effortless glimpse

into how the House of ABR came to life, again.

A lecturer by day, a dreamer always. I’ve been teaching at a polytechnic since 2010—and yes, I’m still here, shaping minds while shaping leather.

Teaching was my first love. At 15, I knew I wanted to be a lecturer. But little did I know, another dream was waiting quietly in the wings.

Plot twist: I always wanted to be a designer. But my parents had the classic Singaporean verdict: “No market for design, study business instead.” So, like a good kid, I listened.

No regrets… but also, some regrets. Seven years of business school? Loved every bit of it. But in the quiet corners of my mind, my designer heart was still sketching.

BR almost had a twin. It was supposed to be called Amos & Anastasia—a wild online playground for two drastically different styles. One dark and edgy (hello, me). One eclectic and quirky (not me).

For more context, the name Amos & Anastasia stemmed from my best work buddy-turned-best-buddy, Amos, which eventually became my daughter’s God-Dad.

But impatience won. I got tired of waiting for decisions and debates, so I went solo and launched ABR in 2014. Best impulsive decision ever.

Where did my first design come from? A mix of imagination, paper origami… and a moment of enlightenment in the toilet. (True story.)

No stitches, just studs. ABR bags were born with studs and zero stitching—because who needs a needle when you have sheer determination?

By the way, showcasing my #1 love here.

Confession time: The reason ABR is studded? I couldn’t sew. (Luxury is about making what you can do look intentional, right?)

By the way, again, this is my #1 of #1 love.

The great reawakening. I hit a point where I was so over seeing the same luxury brand bags everywhere (you know the ones—L, H, C, D). I craved something quiet, mindful, and beautifully understated. A bag that doesn’t scream, but speaks.

THANK YOU.

Thank you for indulging me in this little trip down memory lane.
